This is a two-part training. Upon registering, you will automatically be enrolled in both the 1/11 and 1/13 sessions.
Training Description:
The training will include a brief Overview of the History, Development, and Rationale for DBT Skills Training including the Biosocial Theory of Borderline Personality Disorder, Trauma Responsive Elements of DBT, and Cross-Cultural Practice Considerations. Also, Review of Four Core Skills Modules Content including Mindfulness, Distress Tolerance, Emotion Regulation, and Interpersonal Effectiveness.
Training Objectives:
After participating in this training, participants will be able to:
- Describe the CBT model for anxiety disorders
- Describe assessment, conceptualization, and general CBT treatment planning to address various forms of anxiety
- Employ specific behavioral and cognitive strategies for anxiety.
