About

The Behavioral Health (BH) Workforce Training Clearinghouse is a partnership between the Massachusetts Executive Office of Health and Human Services (EOHHS) and ForHealth Consulting, the public service consulting and operations division of UMass Chan Medical School.

On behalf of EOHHS, ForHealth Consulting has developed and implemented the BH Clearinghouse to increase voluntary access to training and technical assistance to promote behavioral health workforce development. Specifically, as a key component to Mass Health’s Behavioral Health: Roadmap for Reform initiative, the BH Clearinghouse is a resource to support the training of Massachusetts’

  • Community Behavioral Health Centers (CBHCs), a network of community-based clinics offering real-time and high-quality access to behavioral health treatment; and
  • Behavioral Health Help Line (BHHL), a free, confidential, and 24/7/365 accessible helpline where individuals in crisis can call, text or chat directly with trained staff who will assist them in accessing the treatment or support (inclusive of the CBHCs) when and where they need it.

A collaborative team dedicated to supporting BH providers through access to high-quality, evidence-based, standardized clinical training.

Vision

To enhance and improve the clinical skills of BH professionals; to inform, educate, and inspire to reach clinical practice goals; to cultivate a workforce development resource that is user-friendly, collaborative, and supports the providers; and to facilitate the attainment of care delivery goals and improved patient outcomes.
