Training Description:
This 1-hour online training, Introduction to Trauma and Trauma-Informed Care is designed to support individual and organizational efforts to provide trauma-informed care. In this training, we will discuss the experience of trauma and how it relates to mental health and overall well-being. We will also discuss how trauma-informed strategies may be used to support recovery from traumatic experiences.
Training Objectives:
After participating in this training participants will be able to:
- Describe the impact of trauma and resiliency factors
- Describe the relationship between trauma and substance use
- Describe the core elements of trauma-informed relationships
