About

The Behavioral Health (BH) Workforce Training Clearinghouse is a partnership between the Massachusetts Executive Office of Health and Human Services (EOHHS) and ForHealth Consulting, the public service consulting and operations division of UMass Chan Medical School.

On behalf of EOHHS, ForHealth Consulting has developed and implemented the BH Clearinghouse to increase voluntary access to training and technical assistance to promote behavioral health workforce development. Specifically, as a key component to Mass Health’s Behavioral Health: Roadmap for Reform initiative, the BH Clearinghouse is a resource to support the training of Massachusetts Behavioral Health Clinicians:

  • Community Behavioral Health Centers (CBHCs), a network of community-based clinics offering real-time and high-quality access to behavioral health treatment; and
  • Mental Health Centers (MHCs) across the Commonwealth
  • Behavioral Health Help Line (BHHL), a free, confidential, and 24/7/365 accessible helpline where individuals in crisis can call, text or chat directly with trained staff who will assist them in accessing the treatment or support (inclusive of the CBHCs) when and where they need it.
  • Children’s Behavioral Health Initiative (CBHI) helps MassHealth children with behavioral, emotional, and mental health needs and their families with integrated behavioral health services and a comprehensive, community-based system of care. CBHI partners with child and family serving state agencies, providers, and payers to ensure that services meet the individual needs of the child and family, are easy for families to find and access, and make families feel welcomed and respected.
