Child-Development and the Adolescent Brain

Description:

This 4-hour course split across two days will provide attendees with information on Child-Development and the Adolescent Brain.

Objectives:

After completing this training, participants will be able to:

  • Identify the basics of children’s brain architecture and how to support their brain development.
  • Recognize typical developmental milestones in children and adolescents.
  • Recognize how adolescent brain development influences adolescent thinking and behavior.
  • Identify how trauma affects brain development and impacts learning.
  • Apply brain science when interacting with young people by creating authentic partnerships

Schedule:

This is a 4-hour training that occurs over two days: June 11 from 1:00 PM-3:00 PM and June 13 from 3:00-5:00 PM.
