Two-Part Training: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) for Anxiety with Acceptance and Commitment Therapy Concepts

This is a two-part training. Upon registering, you will automatically be enrolled in both the 12/14 and 12/16 sessions.

Training Description:

A brief overview of the CBT model applied to the development and maintenance of anxiety and related symptoms. Assessment, conceptualization, and treatment planning for CBT for anxiety. Behavioral Strategies for anxiety. Cognitive strategies for anxiety, including mindfulness and acceptance of problematic worry through considerations for relapse prevention

Training Objectives:

After participating in this training, participants will be able to:

  1. Describe the CBT model for anxiety disorders.
  2. Describe assessment, conceptualization, and general CBT treatment planning to address various forms of anxiety.
  3. Employ specific behavioral and cognitive strategies for anxiety.

Licensed Social Worker This program has been approved for 5.5 Social Work Continuing Education hours for re-licensure, in accordance with 258 CMR. NASW-MA Chapter CE Approving Program, Authorization Number D 91502-2.

MA Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor This course has been approved by the Department of Public Health, Bureau of Substance Abuse Services/LADC Unit for 5.5 contact hours for Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselors and Assistants.
MA Registered Nurse Program meets the requirements for nursing contact hours as specified by the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Nursing 244 CMR 5.04.
MA Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist This activity has been certified by NEAFAST on behalf of the Massachusetts Board of Registration of Allied Mental Health & Human Services Professions, for LMFT professional continuing education. Certification #PC-041694.
