Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) for Depression

Training Description:

This online training is 4 hours and is best for practitioners with a foundational understanding of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) including the theory and structure of practice in adherent CBT. This course will focus on the interventions used in CBT for symptoms of depression and will provide learners with an overview of the CBT model of Depression and general assessment, case conceptualization, and treatment strategies. Learners will be oriented to, observe demonstrations of, and practice specific cognitive and behavioral strategies traditionally used in the treatment of depression.

Training Objectives:

After participating in this training, participants will be able to:

  1. Describe the CBT model of depression
  2. Describe CBT assessment and conceptualization for depression
  3. Create a general CBT treatment plan to address depression
  4. Use behavioral strategies to address symptoms of depression
  5. Use cognitive strategies to address symptoms of depression
  6. Describe relapse prevention strategies for symptoms of depression
