Addressing Secondary Trauma & Compassion Fatigue

Training Description:

During this 1-hour training, Addressing Secondary Trauma & Compassion Fatigue, participants will explore the impact of work-related trauma. Participants will be given the opportunity to consider how exposure to trauma in the workplace has affected them and how they have coped. Emphasis will be placed on identifying helpful coping strategies using group discussion and case reviews.

After participating in this training participants will be able to:

1. Define secondary trauma
2. Describe symptoms of secondary trauma
3. List ways of coping with secondary trauma
4. Use strategies for developing resilience
